THE STORY
A note from the roaster:
Whenever I'm in need of balance or a place of safety and comfort from the whirlwind of the outside world, I look to a cup of brew that tastes of chocolate, spices, and roasted nuts -- trusted flavors that help navigate me through the dichotomy between the serene and the tumultuous.
My signature blend, unofficially titled Minha Tierra, is blended with expertly harvested beans from the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala and beans sourced from the renowned Huila region of Colombia, roasted to highlight their natural bold notes of chocolate and nuts in addition to their nuanced notes of honey and apricot.
This blend was created to honor the riches of the Earth, to pay tribute to the many hands that helped cultivate this brew, and to express my personal belief in coffee's power to ground the spirit. May Minha Tierra offer you that place of comfort and stability.

BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS
Brewing coffee shouldn't be difficult, so let's keep it simple.
On an auto drip or pour over, a good brewing ratio to start with is 1:16 (aka, the golden ratio) of coffee to water. For example, when making one 9-10oz mug of brew, 20 grams of coffee with 320 grams of water should do the trick. Fine tune the brew to your desired taste by incrementally adjusting the measurements.
Have a home espresso bar setup? At our cafe we typically aim for a 30g double shot (or up to 35g with light roasts) using 20g of ground coffee and extract between 28-32 seconds. Voilà!
