Rwanda Nyamasheke Cyiya: Tastes like Pomegranates & Apricot
FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS
THE STORY
Recently, our roasters made minor adjustments to further highlight the Nyamasheke Cyiya's delicate & delectable flavors with a more balanced body, bolder sweetness, and refined aroma.
Grown in the volcanic loam soil unique to Jarama Farm, fully washed and dried on raised beds, this beauty is bestowed with a refreshing late harvest wine quality, redolent of apricots and pomegranates. The light body and crisp, tannic finish make for one heckuva quaffable palate party. Enjoy both hot and iced!

BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS
Brewing coffee shouldn't be difficult, so let's keep it simple.
On an auto drip or pour over, a good brewing ratio to start with is 1:16 (aka, the golden ratio) of coffee to water. For example, when making one 9-10oz mug of brew, 20 grams of coffee with 320 grams of water should do the trick. Fine tune the brew to your desired taste by incrementally adjusting the measurements.
Have a home espresso bar setup? At our cafe we typically aim for a 30g double shot (or up to 35g with light roasts) using 20g of ground coffee and extract between 28-32 seconds. Voilà!
Whether you want to extract espresso, polish your brew on a chemex, enjoy the richness through a French press, or simply brew on drip -- Make it yours!
